The Story Behind Don’t Care to Find Out
There’s a certain kind of silence that follows when no one texts you. When the weekend plans come and go and you’re not part of them. After a while, that silence becomes normal. And that’s where Don’t Care to Find Out was born.
I wrote this song from a place I’ve honestly carried with me for years. Growing up, I was never really the one getting invited to parties, or being pulled into group chats, or even just being thought of like that. At first, it felt like I was missing out on everything — the inside jokes, the memories, the belonging. And yeah, I felt a lot of FOMO. Like… what was wrong with me?
But somewhere along the way, that feeling changed. I started realizing that maybe I wasn’t meant to fit into those scenes. Maybe I had a different path entirely — one that wasn’t about blending in, but creating something of my own.
Don’t Care to Find Out is me putting that shift into words. It’s the in-between moment where you still feel that sting of being left out, but you’re learning how to let it go. It’s a little bitter, a little freeing, and a lot honest.
This isn’t a “glow-up” anthem or a revenge track. It’s not about proving anyone wrong. It’s about learning to stop waiting for a seat at someone else’s table and building your own damn space instead.
If you’ve ever felt invisible, or like you’re always on the outside looking in — this one’s for you.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for listening.
